The issue that you have is that you cannot claim HB when you rent from a relative, unless you can show that there is a commercial agreement in place. I think you would have real problems showing a commercial agreement.
Surely the OP could show commerical agreement if he went through a 3rd party, letting agent etc?0 -

This would go towards meeting that criteria yes, but would increase the cost to the OP. It is clear from his posts that there would not really be a commercial agreement in place, so it is up to him as to whether he wishes to 'play' the system.Gone ... or have I?0
