where to put 9k with decent interest & withdrawal facilities

Hi all
My twin sister and I have just closed our account with Nat West and want to find a new home for it. My sister lives in USA and I need to use the account occasionally for her. Because of this we need an account with a decent interest rate but also be able to withdraw money quite easily. The high paying current accounts are out as regular salaries are needed, ISA's are out as I have my own filled up for 2008-2009. The money could be split, I suppose with a savings and current account.
Does anyone have any suggestions? :A
