Scraping together a deposit?

I've got a question. I absolutely have to move out of this flat at the end of our tenancy agreement as LL wants it back. I've been looking at other flats but rents have soared since we last looked and I am going to struggle to get together any sort of deposit.
I'm in reciept of DLA (MC-LM), work 16hours/week at min wage and I hope to get tax credits. I can probably afford the first months rent plus £300 deposit but most places want £550+. Is there any sort of scheme where I can borrow the money and give it back when I get the deposit back from this place?
ETA I live in Edinburgh and I'm under Edinburgh City Council
Thank you.

These folks run a deposit scheme, if they can't help you themselves, they might be able to point you in the right direction.
