Hi All
Have a problem,
I am trying to type some stuff in word 2002, when I try to cut and paste or highlight something to replace it with more text it keeps the original text and just inserts it in the cursor space (hope this is making sense) and doesn't overwrite what I want it to.
Basically I am wanting to know how to turn on the insert text function "on" in word - I have tried just using the insert button but this doesn't do it :-(
HELP!

Once your copied text is held on your clipboard, go to the document you want to copy it into, but instead of simply clicking at the insertion point, highlight or select all the text that you want to replace. Then when you paste the copied text it should replace the original wording too.0

thats the problem, it wont do it!
It still inserts the bit I want to insert at the begining of the highlighted areas, even though its highlighted.:wave:0 -
Sorry, not really sure then. It works for me in Word 2007. I have an option ticked that says 'Typing replaces selected text'. Can you see if you have a similar option under Tools/Options in your version of Word?0
