Fern and Phil and reviewing slow cookers on ITV as we speak - think Phil Vickery is about to do recipoes for them as well.....

    I only caught a bit of this but they seemed to balance some pot on top of it & then make a sponge cake...??? Or did I imagine that???

    It's a standard technique for sponge and suet puds :)

    Helps with chickens and pot roasts too.
