Let me get this straight, when you click on a contact on MSN you want Firefox to open instead of IE?
You need to make Firefox your default browser instead of IE. To do this:-
Open Firefox (prolly already open)
Click Tools
Click Options
Click General (left hand side)
In the default browser bit make sure the tick box is checked. Click check now, it should say Firefox is your default browser.0 -

Hi
Firefox is my default browser; just checked to make sure. The only thing I can find is this but its for msn plus.
IE hasn't worked properly for me for ages so I want to be able to use firefox.0 -
This is one thing I've wanted to do but put it down to the fact MSN and IE are linked together.
Maybe if we wait for IE7 the desire to use Firefox will go a bit (he says, hoping).0 -
If anyone can get IE working for me again then maybe it wont matter!
If i open IE, i get the web page but no bar to type in addresses and so on. I have tried the 'view' tab to see if I have disabled something but doesn't seem to have. Half the time, the page wont load properly anyhow.
Any suggestion anyone?0 -
View, toolbars, Address Bar.
IE gets attacked by all types of spyware, totaly changing the way it looks and works.0 -
There is a way to do it, but apparently it involves lots of complicated stuff and hacking your own computer
But your contact list should already be there when you open hotmail in Firefox, so you can pick the person's email address from that listMurphy's No More Pies Club #209

Right click a blank area around where the address bar should be (make sure 'lock the toolbars is unticked first), and then click on 'address bar'. You can then drag things around to where you want them. Then make sure you lock the toolbar again.
If you know this already, and the problem is more involved, maybe going to http://www.windowsxpmagazine.co.uk and asking a question in the forums there might help - although there are many people here with plenty of knowledge.0 -

right, this worked! its finally come back!
...although it still doesn't seem quite cricket. For instance, on the bottom of the hotmail page, is a little yello triangle and the status bar is only staying half full...although this seems only the hotmail page.
Thanks everyone, very helpful!0
