It is 6 months from delivery, prior to that they are not yours as you haven't received them, same as distance selling regs where you have 7 working days from delivery (not order) to return them for no reason, not exactly the same thing but a parallel.

As an aside.I recently won a County Court battle against a retailer after I complained about furniture after 14 months, they tried the "it is out of warranty" I said Sale of Goods act applies, after another 15 months the Court agreed with me and I got all my money back plus Court costs and the independant expert witness costs,
Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition

Just to let you all know how I got on with the manager.......

He came round this afternoon and after inspecting the sofa's came up with this rubbish excuse that the sofa is 2 tone colour and is meant to start losing some of its colour - I laughed at him and asked "would you accept these sofa's if it was you" to which he said "well they may have lost a little too much colour a little too soon" so he said we can go to the shop and choose some new ones - We are going this afternoon - He did mention that he was only giving me a credit note for this amount and should we choose sofa's less money we wouldn't get the rest back - hmmm not sure I will let him get away with that one - fingers crossed.

Well you dont have to accept a credit note if you dont want as the goods are faulty you are entitled to a refund if you so wish and get another sofa elsewhere.

From experience this company will try every trick in the book to get out of giving you the refund to which you are entitled.
I had a similar problem a few years back with this company ,when my sofa started to fall apart. The manager came out and said it was due to "over use".They offered to take it away and partially recover it.I refused and threatened court action. It took months to sort.STICK WITH IT they will try to wear you down.I eventually got a solicitor involved and they offered to exchange the sofa we refused and stuck out for a full refund .They eventually backed down but not without a fight.

just to say its a standard 12 week delivery with dfs as they say they make to order.. so really it shouldnt have lost its colour so soon
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
