Mincing chicken-food processor?

Fay

Hi guys, this is a really dumb question I'm sure, and I have looked on google...but, can I mince chicken in a food processor? I want to make chicken burgers tonight (atkins recipe which is lovely!) but I only have full chicken breasts-so can it be done or do I need to chop it small by hand?
Thanks
Fay

If you have a pulse option, use that. Otherwise, mince in short bursts. Either way be careful - if you overdo the processing, you'll end up with a mush rather than a mince.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0

Thanks guys, I will try the pulse option-certainly don't want mush!0

OH doesn't eat red meat so I use chicken or turkey a lot. I HATE frozen chick/turkey mince so make my own. I usually blitz the onions first and as Debt-free-chick say use the pulse option. With onions and any other padding in first it seems to cut down on the mushiness and also mixes them together much better than I can.0
