Internet Explorer

I've been using IE7 for some time now but quite recently I've noticed that I can't access quite a few websites with it. I haven't changed anything and I always used to be able to access these sites. Ones commonly affected are sites where I have to log in and my kids can't seem to get sites to work which they play games on (eg club penguin).

I've been using Firefox to get round the problem which works fine on all sites.

Does anyone know how to get IE working properly again? I did here that a recent update could have caused the problems (and I have auto update set)? I have not changed any settings in IE.

Any help appreciated.
I don't believe it!

Have you checked your anti virus / firewall settings? Also you have to make sure your IE settings allow you to download flash content and other plugins. IE settings need to be on medium atleast for Club Penguin to run.

    Hope this helps

  • Thanks but I sorted it now.

Apparently when I downloaded the latest Adobe Flash Player it failed even though it said it had worked. I needed to uninstall and then reinstall and lo then all sites are working fine:T

At least kids are happy and I can go back to snoozing :D

I can't sign in to view my e-mails thru orange at the mo. Have to go via 'mail2web'. Has anyone got any ideas why this is? I'm a bit of a techno-prat!

IE7 has been playing up for me as well, but to be honest a quick restart generally sorts everything out :)
