I been told I need a graphics card for my Dell computer so that I can play certain games on it. I have been advised to get a 256MB Radeon HB 2400.
Any advice a to where I can buy a cheap one? Also are they easy to fit ?
Thanks.

Try putting this part number in google
EAH2400PRO/HTP/256M0 -
What games do you want ot play and what is your budget? The 2400 isn't a great card for games.
If you want a Radeon get a 3850 or 3870. If you're happy with Nvidia cards look at the 9600GT.
Mind you a 2400 is considerably cheaper but there's no point saving cash if it won't do what you want.
Try ebuyer, they have them for £24It's my problem, it's my problem

The game I want to play is Broken Sword Angel of death.
I don't really want to spend anymore than anout £40, because I hardly ever play games.
Will I be able to fit the card myself ?0 -
Make sure your motherboard has a pci-e slot as almost all cards now use this.0

Replacing graphics cards is relatively easy.
Step 1. Uninstall the current graphics drivers and turn off the system.
Step 2. Remove the side panel, making sure you are either wearing an anti-static wristband, or have discharged any static electricity by touching an earthed metal object.
Step 3. Remove the old graphics card and slot the new one in.
Step 4. Replace the side and power up the PC. The display may look bigger than previous, don't worry about this, it's normal. At this stage you should be prompted on screen that "New hardware found". It will give you an option to download the drivers or install from CD. I always use the CD, newer drivers can always be downloaded later.
You're good to go!
On the HD3870 issue, I think it would be too big for your case, it's a monster of a card and Dells aren't the biggest cases in the world. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
Firts of all go here and see if your current set up will run the game.
If it won't it will give you an idea what you need. Are you running XP or Vista aas that could make a difference to what you need. It's my problem, it's my problem

Thanks. Unfortunately my system will not run the game and Dell have advised me what graphics card to get. Theirs are really expensive though, so I'm looking at other options.0 -

Was it Dell who suggested the 2400? They are not expensive in Graphics card terms. They're well under your £40 budget.
Are you using Vista or XP? If you're on XP you can only use DX9 so no need to get DX10 card like the 2400. Something like this should play your game fine. It would work with Vista as well by the way, you just wouldn't have DX10 but that game doesn't use DX10 anyway.
Do you actually have the game? Could you post the exact recommended requirements on here ? Ignore the minimum ones as it will look awful using those. It's my problem, it's my problem

The game box says Graphics Radeon 9700 or NVIDIA GeForce 6200 or better.
