Twin Sim phone problem

My son has a twin sim phone, he thinks it was made in China or Hong Kong and it has N95 on it but no brand name as such. It is supposed to do picture messaging but this function does not work.

He has contacted the supplier - UK2USA - who want him to return the phone and say they will replace it.

He is reluctant to do this for three reasons (1) He needs his phone for his work and also he is a First Responder so gets emergency pre-ambulance call outs and (2) He has so much info on his phone that his wife's phone can't store it all on hers and he doesn't want to lose the info and (3) He's worried that the company wont send a replacement as he's looked up the address and he seems to think it's on a housing estate according to the map.

Does anyone know anything about why his picture messaging wont work and have any remedies?

Has anyone heard of UK2USA and are they a reliable company who respond to problems well?

Has picture messaging been enabled by his network(s)? If he puts the SIM in another camera phone, will it send pics? That's a good way of seeing if the fault really is with the phone.

Thanks Cheesy.mike - I'll tell him what you've said tomorrow and he can give that a try. (He's not mentioned to me if he's already done that, he may not have thought of it!)
