Please can anybody give me some advice?
My mum transferred from BT to Talk Talk back in august last year and has continued to receive bills from BT for line rental.
My mum has contacted BT on numerous occasions and after being passed to about 9 people and spending at least 2 hours on the phone she is still no further on with the problem.
She thought everything had been sorted with the last phone call because the customer service person told her that they had voided the bill and that would be the last of it. Today my mum has received another bill from BT with the previous charges listed, plus this months line rental and charges for not paying the previous bill. My mum spent some time today trying to sort once again this mix up with BT, she was first cut off after spending a long time holding and the second time someone said they would call her back.......she is still waiting!!!!
Does anyone have a telephone number that she can call to speak to someone (possibly a manager) who has the competence to be able to carry out what all the others in the past said they had done and cancel the outstanding bills and update the system so she does not receive anymore?
It is really getting her down, she is a pensioner and spending hours on the phone is not a healthy way to spend most of her day!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Helen

Are you sure she didn't (sensibly IMHO) just CPS her calls to Talk Talk and continue renting her line from BT?
Who answers when she dials 150? If it's BT, she's still with BT for line rental.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
it sounds like the line rental is still with bt and the calls with talk talk
if talk talk were taking over the line they would have contacted bt to inform them and the line would have been canceled.
you need to find out if def with talk talk for both line rentaland calls before cancelling:rolleyes:
if there are communication issues or she feels what she wants isnt been done she can request to speak to a manager;) the quitest time to ring is 8am you usually get straight through then
good luck
hope it gets sorted soon0 -

My mum gets her talk talk bill through with line rental on it, she is definitely with talk talk. I have also called 150 and it is talk talk.
She has called again today and has been promised that bt's system has been updated, let's wait and see!0 -
Has she talked to TalkTalk? Possibly they may have failed to tell BT that they have taken over the line rental0

My mum spoke to talk talk last year when the bills first started to come through, she was assured that they had contacted BT.0
