Interestingly, statements tend not to be filtered by value although reminder letters frequently are. There is the option for doing this but companies choose not to do it for policy reasons.

Unless they're on a really ancient system in which case they should PM me I'll give them a discount, honest.

Well I went into my branch and handed over the payment slip, which the cashier looked at, but I don't think it had really registered with him the amount written in until I set my shiny penny up on the counter!! :rotfl:

Needless to say, in the present climate when banks are desparate for cash, he quickly grabbed my penny and lodged it.

I wasn't even lucky enough to find a penny on the street on my way to the bank!

Way back at 1999 a dept recovery agency hired by my mobile phone company (121 if I remember well) have threaten me with legal action over a 0.01p unsettled dept to 121.

i once had a customer who was in credit on their c.c acc for 3p, usually customers just asked for it to be donated to charity- not this guy, he wanted a chq for the 3p!!!

with regards to this, the c.c would refund the 1p of your balance- though i have seen once or twice customers ac going into arrears over a 1p balance carried over from prev statement!
