Virgin V+ box poor quality picture

Hi there. We had a new Virgin Media V+ box fitted this morning and the picture is poor quality on most channels. It looks a bit fuzzy like if you are having bad reception with an ariel . We have a panasonic TV which is about 9 years old. It is definitely worse than with the silver box we had before. I will probably ring them in the morning. I just wondered if anyone else has this problem. (Sorry I'm really not techie at all)redface.gif

Thanks

Are you connecting through the Scart or the aerial socket?

It would be unusual if there was such interference as you have described through the scart although you could have the s-video selected by mistake. If you are connected via AV2 scart on your tv try pressing the green teletext button. This toggles it on and off.

Thank you for helping. I'm off to have a look. We also have a scart lead going from the V+ box to the DVD recorder.

Thanks OK sauce for mentioning the scart leads. I checked and the engineer has put the tv and dvd scart leads in the wrong way round. I swapped them and the picture is fine.
    Thanks.
