Have deleted my thread as have got answers elsewhere.

If you do get fined, you've been incredibly unlucky. With it being your parents address, it could be classed as still valid as it is an address where you could be contacted so if anything does happen, you could always say that you had correspondence from various places still sent to your parents. The address on a licence is more for a point of contact than a confirmation of where you live.0

Based on Conor's response I suspect the issue was to do with not providing DVLA change of address details. Read the paper part of your license and you will see this is an offence carrying a fine of up to £1000 I believe.0
