Anyone got any ideas about the best graphics tablet i need one that is A5 or bigger with a good level of accuracy. Where is the best place to buy. There is a WACOM VOLITO on ebay for around 20 quid but i'm not sure about buying it. Can anyone help as i'm not too good with such stuff. I would like a quick reply as i need it this weekend. Thanks,
Shelagh

couple of reviews of the Volito below, seems to be pretty good, but at around A6 size may be a bit small for your purposes

I've had both a Wacom, one of the older models, & a newer Trust (my art-student daughter made off with my Wacom) & there's no comparison ... Wacom every time, they cost an arm & a leg, but you definitely get what you pay for
try a search for best price, it's a long time since I bought mine & I doubt if the company's still around
edit ... sorry, that wasn't as helpful as I'd have liked, it's late & I'm unwell.
what I was trying to say was, the little Wacom sounds good & in my opinion you'd be better off with it than spending the same money on larger tablet from a 'lesser' brand
good luck

wacom ones are excellent - but are they really worth the money?? I've got a cheapy aldi one (identical to the trust ones - bigger than A4 and cost £30) and it's pretty good..
It does everything I need and costs a fraction of the price of wacom ones.. I wouldn't use the silly mouse that came with it but the pen is pretty good.. 0 -
Thanks to both of you the info. is really useful.
Thanks,

I have a Medion A4 tablet from Aldi (probably same/similar to lellie) - is as good as the A5 Wacom one I had before that. The Wacom also has silly mouse syndrome..0

Just a bit of a warning on the volito, it'd be wrong to compare it to wacom's original tablets as it really is a cut down version with similar specs to the cheapy ones you find at Aldi etc. That said £20 sounds like a good price so well worth it!

What would you use a graphics tablet for?
Sorry, going off topic a bit, but was wondering what they're used for.
Might get one myself0 -
For drawing stuff - not quite the same as pencil+paper, but a lot easier than using a mouse. Similarly for photo editing (my main use), easier to 'clone out' telegraph poles from peoples' heads, brighten/darken specific areas etc. You can also do 'colour in' outlines for the kids - just stick a drawing or photo on the tablet and trace the outline with the pen. Also handy for adding your signature (or doodles) to word documents.cymro1170 wrote:What would you use a graphics tablet for?0
