Hi all
I've installed and re-installed the CD but my PC just does not recognise or charge my W800i. Any ideas?
Thanks

i have a w810i and have had the odd small issue. it does recognise it being there most of the time. i get a message asking me if i want to scan it or continue alot. i just continue without scanning. i presume yours also has the disc2phone programme. do you select file transfer on your phone when it is connected? when you have doen that, wait a short while coz if you have adobe photo software that might start up. if you dont want to transfer photos just close it if it does open. do you then double click on the disc2phone icon? when disc2phone appears there is a drop down on the right for you to select whether you want to transfer to the phone memory or the memory card. thney will just be caled either k phone or j phone i think. if you cant select one of those then there maybe a fault.
i have just tried to cover the basics here for you as things can easily be missed.0 -
If it isnt charging then it could be a cable problem.. The device doesnt have to be recognised to be drawing power (Nintendo DS, TOMTOM) can be charged without being switched on and recognised.0

i forgot about the charging problem. if it is like mine it doesnt charge via the usb like regular mp3 players do. a charger should have come with it to plug into the phone and the wall.0

i have one of these phones and if you are using vista as i am you will have to download the software from their site as the disk is not compat you do have to download each part seperatly:beer:0

are you sure? there is nothing in the instruction booklet for my w810i about that but perhaps it does and i just dont notice it. it is only ever connected long enough to do whatever i am doing. as i have a charger with it i just use that for charging. do owners of the w800i not get a charger included?0 -
The chargers are included but its just another way of charging it like you can do with the nintendo DS.0
