    Absolutely true.

Mustn't warn people on a moneysaving site not to waste money; that would be quite wrong.

Because some others on the moneysaving site might lose lots of money. Better shut up those who threaten their wealth. Sod the new guys. It's their fault for getting there too late.

    I can't see why you're worrying about paying £173,000, when the surveyor thinks it's only worth £170,000. What's £3000?

£3k is an awful lot of money, in my book. 30 years' TV licence, for example. 2 months' post-tax income for people with a good job.

We all have our little delusions, don't worry.

There is certainly signs of returning to 90% loan to value and some restrictions on income multiples. However, 40% is a significant drop to be suggesting.

    Let's take a couple with a £10k deposit.

    12 months ago - take out a 95% mortgage for £200,000.

Now they can only find 90% mortgages and as such can only afford £100,000.

That is a significant drop! :p

These kind of posts really worry me as they are influencing people who are buying at the moment. Hey we all know the market isn't great but posts like these really need to be looked at by the mods.

You bought in December?!!! No wonder you're so vociferous in your defense of everlasting HPI Broderick. I don't think you should be posting here as you have a vested interest in prices remaining high and you are influencing others to make probably the biggest financial mistake of their lives by buying just off the peak of the largest asset bubble in history. The mods need to take a serious look at the bad advice you're posting.

And if you bought in December then you have very much less than half a brain. We were almost 4 months into the biggest financial crisis this country has seen for 70 years !!!!!!.

but nelly is relaxed about price falls, and doesn't feel the need to troll in nearly every thread saying nothing of value.
    It's a health benefit ...

    5% of £200,000 isn't £100,000
