Help please! Easyjet !!!!-up :(

Hi,
I've booked a ticket to Greece on Easyjet. But I've booked it under the wrong name - I've used my middle name as my surname and missed out my surname.

So e.g. if my name on my passport was Tom James Harry Jones, the ticket is booked under the name Tom James Harry.

Will I be able to travel if the name on the ticket is different to the passport? If not how much should it cost to get the name changed?

Please help

i think a call to them (see say no to 0870) website may allow them to clear up an obvious error free when they can see it is the same person. try it
  • When I phoned them they said it would be £70! Seems a bit too steep. The lady at the call centre didn't speak English very well, I'm not sure she understood the situation.

oh she understood the situation alright:rolleyes:
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

How much was the original flight?
Would it be cheaper just to rebook and put the first booking down to experience?

I had a genuine spelling error (caused by me) on an easyjet ticket. I used the 0870 number to get a normal number, and called customer service as soon as they opened at 8am.

I got a UK call centre, a nice chap who I could have a laugh with, who was looking to start his day with a smile (before everyone started phoning up and shouting at him) and he changed my error for free.

Try that! If you don't get someone who help, be nice, say thank you, and call back and speak to someone else. If that doesn't work try again. If that doesn't work, look at spending £70!

Yep i agree with the others, it is worth ringing up and trying to get a different person. You do have to get it changed though, your ticket must match your passport. I know people have got away with it in the past, but most passport controls are much stricter now. Good luck.
  • Just booked 2 return flights online, forwarded info to friend travelling with = spelling error in his forename. Cost is £60 to change name online. Rang customer services & and explained my incompetence, error corrected free of charge. Very pleased (& relieved) customer.
