I purchased some asda shower gel last week and it was rolled back to 9p..:eek: Yes 9p so I would say thats pretty cheap.:j I find soap..no matter what type just dries out my skin too much. The shower gel (despite my concerns) is very mild.JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200
FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £200

I use soap, mostly from Lush - it's a bit more expensive than super-cheapy shower gel, but it lasts a really long time, and it's not that expensive compared to the more expensive gels. When I eventually work through my stockpile it's time to start using the Boots points!2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -
soap is the cheaper option by far, but i prefer shower gel. christmas is great as i get loads and dont have to buy any till about september!! i have some d&g feminine shower gel to go with my perfume and i have been using this for special occasions only (with nylon puff thing to make it go further) for over three years - prehaps i should get out more!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

Soap may be cheaper, but I much prefer shower gel. DH prefers soap.Resolution:

Soap seems to be the better OS choice - but am a firm shower gel girl myself. Usually use 'branded' stuff - but never buy full price (Home Bargains or Wilko's special offers!)
No gunky slime, no embedded hairs :eek: (never mine, of course!), no 'hunt the slippery bar' in the bath, no slimy residue to clean up......
Teeny bit goes a long way on a sponge/scrunchie....
Tempted by a trip to Lush now though, despite a good stock of bargains in the bathroom cabinet!!:rotfl:"...I, being poor, have only my dreams;

Soap is more environmentally friendly - less packaging0

Soap is very drying on the skin though.
Personally I use aqueous cream.0 -
I like Boots Essentials shower gels, they work out very cheap and don't feel or smell like a 'cheap' gel. The Cool Blue and the green ones are particularly nice. They usually cost around 63p for 200ml, but sometimes are on special as well - I usually buy a few at a time with Advantage points.0

Hello
Juts thought i would say tesco have all original sources shower gels , bubble bath and hair produce on offer half price around 98p per bottle :j0 -
Most soaps, these days, seem very soft, and almost dissolve in the shower. When I was a child, the soap seemed to be very hard, you had to rub hard to get a lather, but it certainly cleaned you - even though it was more likely to smell of 'carbolic' than roses.:rolleyes:
Nowadays we tend to favour the 'SANEX' range of shower gels - especially when they are on BOGOF.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
