i've just been accepted to have one opened up. I have not used the switch facility because i'm happy with Cahoot. Ive just opened the account for the interest rate, how can I used it efficiently.

place £500 each month until 2k then just keep withdrawing and placing the same 500 each month? is any one this using this as a holding account?

yes, do that. you could place the extra 500 each month into their esaver at about 6.25% interest instead of withdrawing it.

I applied for the A&L card. Got an interest free 2K overdraft! Withdrew the lot and stored the cash in my offset mortgage account. The A&L account thus serves as a 'mule'

I'm using mine as an account to run my stoozing money through - to keep it separate from my 'normal' money. If I haven't got a BT from a credit card to channel through the account (en-route to high interest savings) I'm transferring £500 from my stooze pot, using it to pay the minimum payments on the cards and then transferring back at the end of the month - but I'm trying to keep the balance at or just below £2500 in order to get the best interest from it.

How long do you wait to get told if you apply online for the direct current account ??
