Apparently the visit can actually include phone calls, but debt collectors have no powers. If you did not agree to the appointment then they should not come as you never made it, you can remove their rights to visit as well.

As they have no rights you can tell them to go away, you are only dealing in writing and close the door.

    Hi

Got a letter out from reliable collections today saying "YOUR ACCOUNT IS NOW GOING TO BE REASSIGNED THIS MAY RESULT IN DEBT COLLECTORS CALLING AT YOUR HOME" im now panicking as i live with my mum and dad and dont want people like this calling to my door.i have a dispute with the payment and thought when i got the first letter saying that there was an appt made between the hours of 6+9 that i could tell them this as my mum has a bar on the 084 numbers so cannot ring them and im sure if im ringing them from my phone to cost me a fortune i dont think so,so im sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place they kept adding on service charges of 12.00 on this account even though i was not living at this address since december of last year i have just come back last month after having a baby as now on maternity leave and have all these letters in front of me but i dont know what to do just wondering can anyone help me out at all please

    thanks

if you are haressed by un mm reliable collection report them to manchester trading standard, they breaking the law by haressing you, when you have paid, . do not talk to them, ask them to put it writing, get a debt managment like cccs, or payplan to help if you got multi debts.

l have reported them, posting it tomorrow, they are on file as a compliant, please read my threads, you know then what l mean. best of luck, they are really rude awful. They can promise you one thing, then another will come along and denied what other persons says..
ask for cca, £1 to to whom Jd williams, at simplybe or other wise. best of luck to all xx
