Cancelling credit card PPI

Anybody had any trouble doing this?
I'm looking to cancel my PPI on my Capital One credit card, I wrote them a letter asking if the PPI had been miss sold to me in the past which they said it hadn't, they did however say I had a 30 cooling off period to cancel it for free and that I can cancel it if I ring the number on the letter.
That does suggest I'm going to have to pay to get it taken off.
Anyone else had any experience of cancelling a PPI?

You can cancel for free anytime, but they are denying responsibility for your previous decision to use the ppi

Gave them a ring today and they said they would send a letter out in the post in the next 5-10 days.
Seems a little straight forward to me, I'm waiting for the catch.:rolleyes:0 -
Cancelling PPI was easy for me on all my credit cards. Had been paying it for years.
One I rang and they took it off straight away.
One I rang said they would send me a form to complete and return.
The third one just needed a letter from me.
All very easy to cancel it - it's getting any payments back that seems to be harder
