The majority of contents policies (if they are half decent) include AD to electrical equipment and computers for free as part of the standard cover. Looking at their website it appears this is the case.
For you, all the extra AD pays for is damage to carpets, sofas etc. Its up to you if you think you run the risk of damaging these items.0 -
I work for a company that will be dealing with Lloyds claims very soon. From the booklets we have seen so far AD is an extra, even to audio/visual is extra, so you would be wise to check the booklet.0

If the OP's renewal is now, i.e. before you begin to underwrite it then they will have AD to electrical equipment as standard, according to their current policy booklets.0
