Travel Insurance with pre- medical conditions

Having spent hours on the web looking for a sensible travel insurance for people with pre-existing medical conditions I have found one (WITH STRINGS ATTACHED). Having had a heart attack which involved 5 by passes last October, I found that nobody either (a) wanted to know or (b) jacked up the price excessively or (c) wanted to have a gap of anything up to 5 years following the attack before they would offer cover.
Incidentally and as a matter of interest my Consultant said that I am less likely to have another attack than I was a week before it happened!!
Lloyds TSB have come up with an Annual Policy for worldwide cover. They do heighten the excess to £250 for visits to USA, Canada, Carribean, China etc, and £200 for elsewhere on this specific risk (excess of £40 for all other risks can be bought out if required). Clearly the extra premium loading is specific to your condition. This is the only account that I have come across that provides for Annual cover without notifying them when you are travelling. You do have to open a Lloyds TSB gold account and pay a fee of £12 per month.
