Have you tried calling him or thought about going to see him?

I assume you put in your e-mail to him that it has caused you to go OD.

I wouldn't wait for an e-mail response from him...

When I was a teenager I worked at weekends for an estate agent. He was terrible at paying people on time, he'd often pay me direct out of his personal account as I'm pretty sure my dad would have "extracted" my pay in "other ways" if he didn't (and I think the EA knew this, or maybe he just fancied me?).

He went bust eventually when his rich daddy refused to bail him out for the xth time.

Go easy on him, the days of houses selling themselves, adding a % onto previous sold prices and generally doing **** all for the "fees" have ended.

Allow him some time to re-adjust to his new income levels now the gravy train is ending.

Then "bounce" a brick off his car window (they sometimes dont bounce though)
  • Has he been to see the estate agent in question.

Maybe a face to face chat along with evidence of you going OD with encourage him to either repay the monies immediately or advise you when he can.

A lot of independant estate agents are finding this market a tough old business at the moment.
