Does anyone know whether I can still apply for a Bank of Scotland credit card even though I've already got a Halifax One card (both providers being part of the HBOS group)?

Yes. I held both at the same time. Unlike some lenders, HBOS doesn't seem to mind.

You can have 5 different HBOS credit cards however you can't have two of the same - so you can't apply for a Halifax one card and a Bank of Scotland one card as they are the same brand.0

Same with the new plus cards and the all in one, the application system treats them as if they were a One card and it'll be declined. If you call up general servicing they have promotions on at the moment (for selected customers) for additional credit cards (charity) with interest free, so give an agent a sale and bag a new card!0
