Just logged on to Northern Rock and they have announced that the Silver Savings account has been withdrawn for new customers. They certainly are having a major shake up,makes you wonder what is going to happen next as their rates are fast dropping, hope they don't drop again after Thursday if the base rate goes down again.0

I fear they might drop, along with others. I have applied for Coventry BS 50 plus eSave (3), 6.4 %AER fixed for one year from date of opening http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=841429 . Seems a good deal.0
