Does anyone know what the correct temperature for a freezer is? It is presently -20c but the only conversion charts i can find are in f and maths was never my strong point.

a quick nose around google indicates that freezers should be at 0f, ie -18c, so your's sounds about right...if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.0 -

Funnily enough we ran ours down just before we went away, I have always had my freezer set to -24 but my husband read that the factory standard is -18. Ours is kept in the garage.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.
Terramundi weighs 8lb 5oz0 -
Fridges should be 5C0

Or less, the optimum temp for your fridge is between 3 and 5c
I bought a fridge fresh egg for under a pound in a local shop. When it's completely all blue colour then fridge is at correct temp, if it goes white then fridge is too warm.

just had a look in my instruction manual that came with my fridge/freezer and it tells me to set the freezer to -18 and my fridge to 3
luckily on mine i have the digital display so i know the exact temperature. i have lowered mine to 2 degrees in the really hot weather we have been having though
Hope that helps judi0
