    Hi
When you convert a video file into a different format there are some things you might have to consider.
Such as picture size, codecs, frame rate and bitrates.
Sometimes you just get lucky, but sometimes you might have to adjust the conversion options to get good playback results.
So, maybe you could do some research about your pda to find out what are the recommended video requirements.

    Hi
I'm afraid I had to delete some posts above.
Please remember that discussing how to remove Copy-Protection is against the current Forum Rules

Media Coder then to change formats transcode and encode to many different file /video audio outputs . Its open source and free .
This is only of use on a non copyright protected file .

Just use "Handbrake". Absolutely the best out there and free.

I would have to recommend DVDShrink here, its a fantastic product:

    http://www.dvdshrink.org/ for information

    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm to download

Its a belter as its 100% free, reliable, lets you re-author to strip out things that you dont need to cut down file size, such as subtitles, menus or extra's.

Converts to .avi which I have found to be pretty reliable

Also, if you have burning software such as Nero, then you can burn re-authored DVD's or 'back-up' ones that you already own

    Hope this helps any....

    Thanx,
But on looking through the guide for DVD shrink, i can't see anything about avi files, just copy and burn cd's?
