I saw some good initial feedback on here, but don't know anyone who has one of these accounts. I know this is probably silly, but I am put off by the fact that it is a Nigerian bank, even though it is covered in the FSCS.0

I have just opened one and transferred my money by BACS from the Halifax, nervous three or four days till it appears in my account. Was very easy to open and the paperwork came through the post within a couple of days.0

I just opened the account.
The papers came through in a couple of days, and it is v. simple to manage... I actually like how simple their website is to use compared to some of the other savings accounts I have opened!
The username is similar to my Bradford & Bingley account, are they linked in any way? Would be good to know for those who have more than 35k to save.0 -

Not linked in the FSA/FSCS way - i.e. they are separate organisations.
But a substantial number of 'overseas' or 'small' financial institutions make some use of the facilities of more major UK players - for a fee of course.
There might be something to this effect in the very small print on any documentation you have.Imprudent granting of credit is bound to prove just as ruinous to a bank as to any other merchant.
