My friend has a wireless AV sender for his Sky telly and swears by it. I would like one for my cable (virgin), will it work?

Or is this board for computer stuff?

Thanks

It doesn't really matter where the source comes from for AV senders e.g. Sky or cable, so yes it will work.

    Thanks for that.

But he can change the channel from upstairs and it changes the channel downstairs. Will this still happen?

I have a Technika TT07 AV sender used to transmit PVR/digibox signals. In the instructions it does list under applications "watch movies, CABLE(my uppercase)or satellite programmes on any tv in the house" so probably yours will work. However check the instructions to see what they advise or contact the manufacturer.
If it works with the cable box than yes channels can be changed remotely as long as the transmitter can "see" the IR on the cable box

Be careful...I used AV senders with our cable (virgin) connection...most wont allow you to use the remote to change channel etc through the senders there are a few that will as mentioned

I have the cheapest Argos AV sender, it transmits the signal no probs but doesn't work with the remote control, and, more importantly, since we upgraded to a V+ box, it doesn't work at all when set to HD.
