I'm really sorry to bother you experts with a fundemental problem.
I think I'm having problems sending and retreiving email because my 'pop' (Incoming) and 'SMTP' (outgoing) settings have altered. Probably something I've done wrong. I'm getting error messages like the one below.

Account: 'pop3.blueyonder.co.uk (2)', Server: 'smpt.blueyonder.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D"[/FONT]
Could you be really kind and remaind me how to reset the settings?
My ISP will only do this via a premium rate phone number.
Also, I think I've tried to resolve the problem by resetting my password and now nothing will work as a password. The message I'm getting is below.
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop3.blueyonder.co.uk', Server: 'pop3.blueyonder.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Check the user name and password via the webmail log in, if they work there then they should work in the OE setup. If they work in webmail and not OE then something else is wrong.0

Have a look at this - http://help2.virginmedia.com/help/getContent.jspx?page=h_email_setup_OE6 which might help although unless you've made a typo with your error message its smtp not smpt for outgoing server.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0
