Why when you do a search on this forum for a date. For example search "12/04" does it come up with no results? This would be very useful as any 'comps ending' thread could just post the link to the search rather than copy and paste out a hundred links.

afraid thats pretty much the reason for the comps ending thread - there isnt really an effective way of searching by ending date:D The people doing the comps ending threads do a great job going through all the pages for the comps ending and think it must take them sooo long:D

unfortunately its not possible, hence the threads. something even simpler than that would be if everyone used the same format for end date, but they don't.
the ending lists are fab, and the people who do them are very much appreciated
  • Has anyone tried putting say "12th Apr" or "2nd Jun" in the thread title and seeing if the search function picks up that format ?

yes this has been discussed many times before. if EVERYONE used the standard
E: xx/xx, there wouldnt be a problem as thread title sort would group them, but people dont use the standard format so until that happens, the ending lists are a god send

All I know is that they have to be on separate postcards. I stick a stamp on each one, so if you find out that you can do that, I'd be grateful to know! icon14.gif
