i assumed there was only one winner for my competiton(i won a wok)
but Lucy from the mushroom bureau contacted me with this email
I have just had an email from the other Chinese New Year competition winner saying he has not received his prize yet. On calling the supplier I have now found out that they have had delays. They have now cleared the delays and your wok should be sent out this week. I’d like to apologize for the delay, as I say the supplier gave me no indication that this would happen.
If you still haven’t received your prize by next week then do contact me and I will follow up making sure that they send out your wok.
Best Wishes,
Lucy

Thanks ginjim, I didn't realise another comper could miss out, as the website did say there was only one prize.
I'll send them another e-mail admitting I have received two hampers - let fate well and truly decide.
My comping karma will now definitely be re-balanced.
Update 12:40pm - e-mail has been sent, awaiting their reply0 -
hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice here;
This is a comp with a newsletter signup; (searched and couldn't find it on here already)
www.gluvfootwear.co.uk
and it looks like a monthly according to the confirmation email;
,Only one entry per email address, per month is permitted into the monthly prize draw. Duplicate entries will be removed and will not eligible for entry during that competition cycle. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the winner with any 3rd parties. The winner will be notified within 14 days. The name and general location of the winner will be made available on the website. All entrants to the competition accept these terms. The competition is operated by Gluv Footwear, Bottom Boat Road, Stanley, Wakefield WF3 4AY.,
However I can't find anything saying what the prize is, so I'm reluctant to post it.
Can anyone else see what the prize is?
Is it worth me posting it as a monthly because, hey, any prize is better than none and it's probably footwear-related?;)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MoneySavingExpert Forum Team0 -

I posted the following on the tips thread a few days ago, but thought it might get a better response here. Sorry about the duplication....
Hi. I'm new to comping and have a coupla Qs:
I was just wondering if any of the regular compers had a rough idea of how many comps they usually enter per day/week and how many prizes they usually get in return? Like, would you say you won one prize for every 100 competitions you enter? ...Sort of a comp to prize ratio! Obviously I know it's all totally random, but I just thought some of the super-compers on here might have thought about it.!
I enter as many as I havce time to each day - I would say that I enter upto 100 comps per day but it varies how many are for things I would want - only enter for things I want to win or would be able to make use of either myself or as presents for friends/family! Think my comping ratio will be alot less than 1 in 100, its hard to tell as wins are like buses, none for a while then several at once! I get between 2 or 3 and 10 wins per monthSo far I've been mainly entering comps from the ending-tomorrow posts - but someone told me yesterday that sometimes the sites get a massive influx of entries during the last couple of days of a competition and don't like people entering who've come in through a comping site/forum so they discriminate against people entering at the end and pick winners from the early entries. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks loads for the help - and thanks to everyone who posts comps on here for introducing me to this fun new hobby!
I cant imagine that sites discriminate against when you enter them, there are too many regulations etc now to stop cheating etc?! I mainly enter comps not on the comps ending threads, from time to time I do venture onto them but not very often - only when have extra time on my hands!
Good luck comping - its very addictive!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
OMG where do you find 100 comps a day, I htought I was doing well with about 20 lol!!!
Im addicted to this every night but I really hate the ones where you have to sign up to the sites so i usually ignore them, do you think it would be wise to do them too?

100 a day - wow!
The comps ending tomorrow posts seem to have about 50 usually, so how do you find the other 50? Are there lots more on the boards for each ending date that get missed in the CET posts?
Thanks for the reply. I haven't won yet, but hopefully the postie will knock soon!
Have you tried the daily comps thread? There's loads on there! hth0 -
