fuel suppliers selling door2door scam
hi,
just a warning about companies trying to get you to switch,
my girlfriend unwittingly changed suppliers in january, no harm done because she didn't actually lose money,
but the way they did it made me furious,
she had just lost her mum a few days before when a so called salesman knocked to discuss her supply,
she has been with british gas for years and quite happy with them,
he said that it was down on record that the previous tennants (she's been there 6 months) were with his company, i wont name them, and could she just sign this form to take the address off their records,
a few weeks later she got a few letters from this company, but with the funeral arrangments ignored them,
she rang british gas up later and straightened it out,
but she had definitley been stung and due to her circumstances didn't really take any notice of what she signed, and she didn't keep any of the paperwork otherwise id be reporting them to the TS
how these companies employ people with these tactics beggars belief and the next one who knocks, even if genuine will get rudely told to stick it where the sun dont shine :mad:

Name and shame the scam artists so others are aware of their tactics!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!
