So, have you downloaded the video onto your PC?
And can you view it on your PC with a media player?

Audio Codec error normally means you do not have the correct audio or video codec installed for that file .
You have transferred the file from your phone to PC do you have the original on your PC or a copy of it .If you do you should be able to transcode it to your mobile phone format whatever that is .

the file is a 3gp file I have not changed it from its format on my mobile it worked on my phone just after I filmed it, twice it now no longer plays on my phone and it says an eror has occurred. when I try to play it in quicktime it says it does not recognise the file when I try in windows media player the same I downloaded a 3gp player and it wont play in that either no error it just doesnt play. when opening it in motorolas phone tools program it tells me there is an audio codec error and it wont play. really annoyed such a lovely clip to keep and now gone unless anyone at all knows how to fix it

the only thing that happened that may have caused it was about an hour after filming I dropped my phone on the floor and the cover and battery flew off but surely that would not damage files as they would all be damaged and the rest are ok

Maybe the file wasn't saved properly on the phone, then when the battery dropped out something got corrupted.
Never mind, cook another spag bol tomorrow and 'take 2'.:D
