Gas prepayment meter

Hi,

I have just rented out my property which has a prepayment gas meter. My new tenants want to switch to normal billing since it will be cheaper.

What are the costs (if any) of switching to paper/normal billing and are there any costs for reverting back to the prepayment meter in future?

One other question - if the tenants don't pay these bills is it correct to assume that I will not be forced to pay by the company?

Thanks

    Hi

I moved into a property with prepayment meters a few years ago and when I asked to switch back to normal I was told I wouldnt be charged to go back to normal bills but it would take 30 days. I actually decided not to change as im not in the house much and have actually saved with a prepayment meter but im pretty sure its an easy and free process to change (particularly if they change to a different provider).
