Dog developing a 'licking' habit?!

Tigsteroonie, it's pretty normal for dogs to lick occasionally, some more than others, it's sort of like sucking your thumb, a comforting thing that most people grow out of eventually. It's only when they start doing it obsessively that you need to be concerned.

Well, I favour Petplan or NFU, but you will pay more for them, as their cover is better. I have a bit of a thing about E&L :mad: but I'll not rant about them here. You could also try Axa, and Halifax, as had been suggested. Just make sure you read through the policy carefully and see what you are getting.

Rapeseed pollen is an allergen in dogs as well as humans, so that might be having an effect, but I'd be surprised if it is the underlying cause.

Frugallass is right about her food though. If you want to keep your food bills down, Chappie is one of the best cheap foods. I can't bear the smell of it, but then I suppose I don't have to eat it and most dogs will do well on it. She's eating super sweet junk food at the moment, so you will find it hard to change her over to something healthier, but it can be done.

Glad I'm not the only one!!! She seems to have stopped the licking habit almost totally now - Thank goodness! Not totally back on her food, but much much more like her old self again!

Seems like there are lots of problems with E+L! Glanced as much as I could of the pet insurance thread, but 51 pages is a little heavy for bedtime reading!!
