Where's the cheapest place to get a mobile?
Hi All,
I'm on pay as you go as I only use about £10 per month and am desperate for a new phone as this one keeps crashing on me (Sony Ericsson K750i).
Can you recommend where I can get a phone from? I did see a post months ago about going to a site where it shows you all good buys at the moment, but I can't find or remember what the site is called.
Thanks for your help

three do a £12 pond a month contract with a free phone. or a £15 a month 6 month contract with a free phone? you could always put it on payg after six months. which means a 2mgp camera phone with bluetooth will have cost you thirtey quid

Thanks for the tips.
I use to have a 3 phone. It was really good a being a door stop or a rock but to actually be able to ring or text, was absolutely useless. Needless to say I will never, ever have a 3 phone again - I wouldn't even have it for free!0 -
It sounds like you're after a phone for making phone calls and sending texts - just like me!
I've just got hold of a new Nokia 1200 phone on Virgin with £10 credit for a grand total of £9.95! So that's basically a free phone when I buy the top up.
I used Quidco (a cashback site) to then click through to Phones4u. They offer £10 cashback for a PayAsYouGo sale. http://www.quidco.com/phones-4u/
The Nokia 1200 costs £9.95 plus you have to buy a £10 top up (which they put on the phone for you).
Postage is free.
Credit card is charged £19.95, £10 cashback is paid through Quidco.
Register for DAILY BONUS immediately to get 15p/min calls with 5 minutes free after you've paid for 5 mins each day. Texts 3p to other virgin mobiles, 10p to all others, but again aftger the first 5 the next 5 are free every day. Voicemail is always free in the UK. For every £100 credit you spend you earn £10 off a new phone and you can build this up over two years, so if your phone falls apart you simply get Virgin to send you a new one - free! (Their upgrade phones start at £10 so as long as you've spent £100 you can always have a free phone).
I'm such a low user that the cashback business with registered post became more faff than I felt it was worth. I might just spend manage to spend £100 over the two years to get my free £10 phone, but I buy all my top ups from ebay typically at 70% of face value so my mobile only costs me between £3 and £4 a month.0 -
Nokia 1200 must be the follow on from the 1100. I've got a 1100 and think it's so good that I bought a spare one, but I don't want to use that one since I think it's worthy of a design award it's that good.Happy chappy0
