BT muppets

25mins ago i had an automated call from BT saying that i had NOT paid my bill, It said that if i did not pay it i would be charged a £7-50 late payment charge and my service could be restricted. I payed the bill last week within 2 days of recieving it. I didnt listen any more to the message and put the phone down. I phoned BT up to find out why i recieved this phone call, I pressed this button that button and finaly to bills to check on there, It said that i have payed the bill and my account is clear. I have 3 days left with BT muppets before i change over from them. But the best bit is they OWE me money has i have payed 3 months line rental in advance on that bill i payed last week. I have never met a company so inept. I will be chasing them up for my money come next week. I hope they will be as quick giving my money back as they are of pestering people who have allready paid their bill. I wonder if they would pay me a late payment charge of £7-50 if i have to wait more than 2 weeks for my money(dont think so). I will never ever deal with BT bandits again.

Oh dear. I hope this doesn't mean you have done the non-sensible and are switching line rental away from BT?

Never wise to move line rental away from BT. Calls, yes, line rental, no.

All big companies have problems. Granted it can be annoying.

Thick or the systems are thick? Sounds like the system has sent its automated call in error. Confirmed by the advisor you spoke to after. Issue sorted.
