Just wanted to say thanks to Martin I'm £23 better off. I was really nervous about doing this and my DH was sure I'd never get the £25 back but it was there in my account this morning.
    Thanks again Martin!!!

help something went wrong when we tried to get this free £25 bet. my 20 year old son opened an account with betfair following your links. unfortunately we didnt get to put bet on because it needed proof of his age so we sent them a photo of his passport to prove this. it hasnt been acknowleged yet so we missed the national. when we checked the bank betfair had taken the £25 out twice so my son is now £25 down in his bank account. will we be able to get the money back. when we try to login to betfair account it comes up that he needs to prove his age.we only wanted to have a go on the national as we only bet once a year.
    thanks gill

Give them a ring on the number quoted a few posts up.(0844 871 0000)

Ive had the same prob with age verifying...

I just gave them a ring (had to wait a bit, high volume of calls) the guy said they had over 2000 new accounts opened yesterday.....
(hmmmm I wonder why that was...:rotfl: ) He said there is a back log of about the same amount on verifying ages and a back log on getting to emails. He said things sould be on there way to be sorted out by late this evening. So to anyone still waiting...just hang in there a bit longer. But if not sorted out by tommorow give them a ring. Hope this helps.

Had a £5 to win bet on Comply or Die - winnings & £25 credited to my betfair account and now withdrawn (will check bank in mo)
Nothing is appearing on my Quidco account yet? Paid for bets by debit card - anyone else still waiting for their Quidco? Another 6 days before I can submit a ticket....

Thanks Martin - Great tip :)

has everyone had to verify age?

yasmin - i would wait until this evening to see if you have got your £25 as it takes 24hrs at least before they sort their backlog out
