When is next issue of index-linked savings certificates?

I've only got into this form of tax free savings recently...

The NS&I site says there can be several issues of these certificates each year, but they don't say when the next one will be.

Does anyone know when the next 3-year issue of the index-linked certificates is likely to be?

The last new issue was at least a year ago, so we're well overdue. But no, there seems to be no way of knowing in advance.

does anyone know what the longest period in the past has been between consecutive issues?

or are they more or less reliably roughly annual?

I was wondering about this today as we are ready to buy some more. Bound to be soon I think as confidence is starting to slowly filter back into the stock market and banks

Well you could ask, but they won't tell you!

The guarantee of a tax free return above the rate of inflation would be very popular at the moment. NS&I would be overwhelmed with applications if a new issue were to be announced in the near future.

You can only invest £15,000 into each issue of Index-Linked Savings Certificates. The original poster has already made the maximum investment into the current issue, and cannot make any further investments until a new issue is available.
