Restaurant accounting software

Hi guys, i hope you can help!

We brought a restaurant 10 months ago and we hired a guy who would be handling all the book keeping etc so i didnt have to be involved... well he left and we have spent the last few months kind of muddling through.

I really need some software that can calculate everything for me and i brought sage financial suite some while back, but whilst i understand the basics of it and how to use it if i were a manufacturer say, i am not finding it useful for a restaurant.

Can anyone recommend something i could use? it was suggested that i fiddle with sage and it would all be fine, but that is way above my head.

It will be our end of year soon and if i am going to have reinput eveything quick replies would be gratefully received!!!

Where are you based?

Forgive the shameful plug but I could visit and give you a quick training session on a better bit of software? Certainly not out just to get business but as a project working accountant, this is the sort of work I love

It's not restaurant based accountancy system but perfect all the same.

How big is your restaurant? A pos system would help you record all your takings and issue reciepts etc and make your whole bookkeeping/accounting process a doddle. Theres a piece of software called restaurant manager that would possibly do the trick. you would just need it set up on a PC or touchscreen in your restaurant.
