Thomsons Partnership - Good or Bad?

Had anyone used Thompsons Partnership (Plymouth) for their Conveyancing? After getting some quotes at these are at least £250 cheaper than a local solicitor I have been recommended to (we get an Amicus discount), but have read some mixed reviews on this and other sites.

Hi there Bluestar25,
I would double check the quote - generally, if it's much lower, there's something missing. Some more info would be useful: e.g. Are you buying or selling? Does this include a HIP? Is the property freehold or leasehold? Are you getting a mortgage? Do you have an existing mortgage to redeem?
I would also ask TP whether their quote includes TT fees, will they be expecting an additional contribution for insurance? Does it include photocopying and telephone calls? What are their additional charges if, for example, you need to take out indemnity, or perhaps prepare a statutory declaration? Whilst initial costs are low, all the add-ons can take it higher....:A FLY FIRST, KNIT LATER :A0
