Hi I am trying to compare costs with the comparison sites. My main problem is that my bills are with Eon and quarterly I know this is dumb question but how to I work out my yearly costs as Januarys bill includes previous two months so do I calculate from next bill throughto January this year to create a whole year. Also should I compare on bill cost or fuel useage? Thanks moneysavers/

To be most accurate always use fuel usage, ie kwh. To do so just take your January bill and the previous 3 quarters bills, ie the first one is the one beginning Feb 07, and add up the kwh billed, this will give your annual usage. If you do not keep past bills then EoN may give you your annual figure. Then of course enter this figure in the comparison sites.
I should have added that if you are anywhere near the average user then your figures should roughly be 20000kwh for gas and 3300kwh for electricity.

isnt the best way the per kwh costs?

problem is the comparison sites and companies themselves disguise this somewhat by asking you questions like how much is your average bill etc.
