Distance Selling Regs - do they apply here?

Options
Hi

I don't know if this is in the right place but here goes.

I have a small business and on 25th March signed up to a website who (for a fee obviously) would "advertise" my business by way of links in appropriate categories. Now I know I should have done some more research before I agreed, but the sales lady did a fab job, answered all my questions and gave me a great discount.

Today I have done some research and have decided that it will be a total waste of money. I rang to cancel and the person I need to speak to isn't in today and will ring tomorrow. I mentioned that I was within my 14 days right to cancel and all they have said so far is that it isn't in their T&C's and where had I got this 14 day rule from. I mentioned the Distance Selling Regs, but I would like to know that I am within my rights to cancel.

I haven't as yet paid anything (the invoice arrived today giving me 7 days).

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks

The distance selling regulations apply to consumer purchases. As your purchase appears to be on behalf of your business the regulations won't apply.
  • Just want to echo utterbar.... the regs don't protect businesses.
