Personal payment with credit card?

in Credit cards
Does anyone on this board know if I can use a credit card to make a payment to someone's personal bank account using one of their pre-printed pay in slips with their details on? I don't really want to draw out a large sum in cash and pay it in. You can use a card to pay bills in this way, but does it work for private individuals? Thanks, can't ask in a bank 'cos I'm not near one till tomorrow!

It should be possible (sounds like you've got a CC cheque). Please bare in mind that you'll be charged higher interest and cash withdraw fees.0

Sounds like a paying-in slip to me rather than a cheque.
I don't think you can do it taht way (unless you use the card to draw out cash and pay that in - but that would attract interest and fees).
You could use paypal but you'd both need payapl account.
There would be some fees, but there is no interest.0 -

Doesn't sound like it.
You could get his sort code and account number from the pay-in slip and ask your bank to do the transfer tomorrow.
You could also do a BT to his credit card if he wants to give you the number
you'd get a 3% fee added.
I'd just take the slip into the bank and get them to do it - no need to handle large amounts of cash."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
