Best way to save

Facts:
Me and partner live together
Household income on £39k (£23k and £16k)
Partner has Egg cash ISA already
Properly save between £200 to £300 to put into savings, plus any bonus's etc
What is the best way to save money, which we can have quick access too?
I currently have £600 sitting in a standard bank account, should this be transferred to the current ISA before the dead line (6th?).
Can we both have cash ISA? So allowing £3600x2 savings?
Should I try to get an ISA approved before the 6th?
We have around £1500 coming to us soon, I don’t know if I’ll have it before the 6th, so I assume this cant be put into this current years allowance. Does it have to be cleared in the ISA, or just transferred to it?
I also would like a second savings, with our current account (Nat west), so we can access it within the day incase we need money for something urgent.

Yes, you can both have an ISA in your own names. I doubt your £600 is earning much interest in a standard bank account so would recommend moving it into an ISA. You are probably too late to apply online or by post for a new ISA this week but I noticed on the Abbey website they are still accepting applications face to face in the bank - 6.25% as well, so it's a competitive rate.0
