Going to have to pull out of buying the house

I want to cry I really do  There is no point to this thread really, just a rant.
We have had an offer accepted on the house of our dreams, paid to have the survey done and now we are going to have to pull out.
My hubby has another mortgage with his ex. He hasnt lived in the house for years but now the ex wants him off the mortgage and the deeds. Fair enough, we were happy with that. But she refused to buy him out and wanted his half of the house for free. Fast forward 2 years, £2000 legal bill, and 2 trips to court and it is sorted. The ex is remortgaging the house and buying hubby out :T . We waited till it had been rubber stamped by the court and set out house hunting. We arranged a mortgage, viewed houses, made an offer and paid for the survery...... but now the hitch.
We went to court 9 weeks ago and nobody has heard anything from the ex. Not even her solicitor. I have a horrible feeling she cant get a remortgage and is now hoping it will all go away (she is abit thick like that) we are going to have to go back to court and give her more time to prove she is getting a remortgage or get an order to sell the house.
I thought we had done it all the right way, get the offer rubber stamped by the court, then arrange a mortgage, then look for a house.
Guess I should have known better, the ex cant be trusted.
